Fine Motor Development

Fine motor development or skills of children are related to the movement of their small muscles movement that occurs in the wrist, hand, fingers, feet, and toes. Kids need to use fine motor skills to do different daily activities and they can do such activities on their own:

  • Brushing their teeth
  • Getting dressed
  • Tie their Shoes
  • Eat with spoon and fork
  • Turn door knobs

Different activities for fine motor skills in early years:

  • Sewing
  • Beading
  • Painting
  • Lacing
  • Drawing
